Outlandish Shore Excursions

With many people having cruised quite a few times before, cruise lines are always looking for new ways to excite these passengers each time they arrive in port. Bermuda cruisers, for example, don't need to worry about hopping on a moped to see the island. Cruise lines are now offering Bermuda tours aboard Segways! It's a great and easy way to get around, it's so much fun if you have never tried it, and it surely beats walking!

If Dubai is on your itinerary, you can enjoy the thrill of a four-wheel drive tour over the endless sand dunes before you arrive at a hidden campsite for refreshments. Enjoy going sand-skiing or riding a camel before returning to the ship.

And finally, if the adventure of an Alaskan cruise piques your interest, you can take a helicopter flightseeing tour and then land on the massive Yanert Glacier. You will step out onto the glacier with your pilot guide and view the ice-falls, moraines, ice bridges, and glacial streams before continuing on to the base of Mt. Deborah before glimpsing breathtaking views of the West Fork of the Susitna and Nenana glaciers.  How is that for a thrill ride of a lifetime!
