2012 Business Update and Common Questions

Thank you to all of our clients for a great 2012.  We have doubled our business since last year and are looking to do the same for 2013.  We are growing and adding new associates to provide our clients with the same exceptional personalized service you have come to expect.    We helped clients plan trips to Alaska, Europe, Caribbean, Australia, Mexico, and the Far East.   You have given us a 100% satisfaction rating and 100% percent of you would recommend us to your family and friends.   During the year we have been asked a couple of questions on our business and we thought we could answer them here:

Why should we book with you and not directly with the cruise line?

Almost all the cruise lines set the prices and require all suppliers to charge the same price.  As an example Royal Caribbean might charge $899 per person for a stateroom.  That would be the same fare we have access to and that you would find calling by Royal Caribbean directly.  By going directly to Royal you are paying for service that you will not receive.   For example, they will not monitor for price reductions, help with discounted shore excursions, find you the best value, print and mail you all of your cruise documentation.

How much do you charge?

We recently had a nice engaged couple who visited us about their honeymoon.   They originally thought we would be too ‘expensive’ to help plan them the perfect honeymoon.  They were surprised to find out we only charge a nominal fee of $25 when they reserve their vacation.  They were ecstatic to be able to have the personal service and expert planning for basically no charge.  All we ask is that once clients have utilized us for our expertise that they reserve their vacation with us.  We take pride in matching clients’ needs with the best value –whether that is a luxury experience or a quick get away weekend.

How do you get paid?

Our suppliers pay us a commission on the base fares that are sold.   Since CruiseOne belongs to the largest seller of cruises in the country we get paid the highest commission level from all of our suppliers.  We have no financial incentive to select one cruise line over the other.  This allows us the freedom to give our clients unbiased advice on which product will give them the best experience based on their needs.

Do you like what you do?

We LOVE what we do.  A vacation may be the only time family and/or friends have to slow down and take the time to truly be together — not just rushing to school or work with quick meals at home, but actually laugh together, have fun together and have real memories together.  Time is precious; there are very few opportunities in today’s hectic world to truly connect.   We fully understand how important these memories are and take pride in finding perfect experiences for our clients.  We are not selling vacations but helping clients build magical memories.

Happy Cruising!
