Did you realize that some of the major cruise lines now have many different rate codes that rival the airlines! Some lines advertise excellent offers that come with fantastic shipboard credit offers …. if you book the most expensive rate code.
Some lines advertise great rates but the deposit is non-refundable. There are often great last minute fares but the complete fare is non-refundable and for a guarantee stateroom. Some rate codes offer fantastic pricing but are not eligible for any price reductions or upgrades after deposit. There are lines that advertise free airfare but you can take a credit instead of the airfare and we can find less expensive airfare offering a better value.
Then there are the senior, military, fire and police, past guest, shareholder, resident, and group rates. Some of these offers can be combined with special rates and some are not allowed to be combined.
