Traveling often supports kids' academic performance, leads to successful careers and increases the likelihood of continued travel throughout life - according to a survey conducted by the Student Youth & Travel Association and Explorica.
* 88 percent of respondents who traveled before the age of 18 received a college degree, with over a quarter going on to receive an advanced degree.
* More than 40 percent completed college with a GPA greater than 3.6
* Half reported a household income of more than $75,000, and almost a third at more than $100,000.
So the next time you worry about taking kids out of school for some travel wtih the family just think back to these eye opening statistics.
