Packing for a cruise? 10 Items you might not think about but will need!

Items you might not think to pack for a cruise:
  1. Alarm Clock – Most staterooms do not have clocks like a hotel room might. If you are in an inside stateroom with no natural light you will have no idea what time it is! If you use your cell phone do not forget to put it in airplane mode or you will have a very hefty charge for all the data updates.
  2. Duct Tape – I am a guy so I needed to add this!
  3. Small First Aid Kit/Pharmacy – With two boys this has come in handy too many times to count and most likely saved us hundreds in buying airport size items from the ship gift shop.
  4. Small Power Strip – With all the electronics we have these days there are never enough outlets in our stateroom.
  5. Downy Wrinkle Releaser – Irons are a no-no on a ship and are not allowed. The wrinkle releaser works great on almost all of our clothes. In an emergency hanging them in the bathroom during a hot shower does the trick.
  6. Extra Duffle Bag – For all the souvenirs you might buy in port. Do not want to pay the overage fees for luggage at the airport.
  7. BIG Coffee/Tea Mug – This one is from Donna. The mugs on the cruise ships are tiny. If you are a big coffee or tea drinker then bringing a big thermal mug will make you and your traveling companions very happy.
  8. Highlighter – Your daily cruise ‘activity list’ will be chock full of fun and interesting things for you to enjoy while on board. Having a highlighter will be a godsend in planning your day.
  9. Air Freshener – Well we usually have four people in a stateroom with three boys (me included). Need I say more?
  10. Tide Detergent Pen – For those who know me …. Enough said!
Happy Cruising!
